Franz Ferdinand - Bite Hard (with lyrics)

From their new, third album ''Tonight: Franz Ferdinand'' 2009 You don´t know, I sing these songs, About you, You don´t know the the Pseudonyms, I assume You don´t know the the Pseudonyms, I assume, For you. Are you happy now? That the Gods are dying. Or do you dream of Heston with omniscient beard? You should be happier now, with no one to pray to. Or would you love to break your knees from begging and praying? Bite Hard. Well it´s a broken smile, Breaking their hearts and breaking their minds. Bite Hard. it's 5.05, our engine's alive, and we ride together, Bite Hard. May be lonelier now but I´m happy oh no honest. ain´t only alone but what would we talk about anyway, I´d never resort to kissing your photo, Honest, I just had to see, How the chemicals taste their honey. Bite Hard. well it´s a broken smile, Breaking their hearts and breaking their minds. Bite Hard. it's 5.05, our engine's alive, and we ride together, Bite Hard. We ride together, We ride together, We die together. Bite hard. Bite hard. Bite hard. No, I never, I never I never know, I never, I just had to, just had to just had to see now honey Bite Hard. well it´s a broken smile, Breaking their hearts and breaking their minds. Bite Hard. it's 5.05, our engine's alive and We ride together, We ride together, We die together. The singer, Alex Kapranos, stated in an interview that the song was written about two friends of his — "It was one night when me and the band were out with friends from Glasgow, and we went to this warehouse dance party thing called Disco X. It was a very debauched night and these two friends got it together in a very sexy way." Reception Franz Ferdinand received universal critical acclaim. The NME said that the band was the latest in the line of art school rock bands featuring The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Duran Duran, Roxy Music, the Sex Pistols, Wire and Blur. It rated the album as 9 out of 10 and said: "This album is the latest and most intoxicating example of the wonderful pushing its way up between the ugly slabs of Pop Idol, nu metal and Britons aping American bands. What these blossoming bands have in common is the absolute conviction that rock 'n' roll is more than a career option." The BBC's review of the album said: "At only 38 minutes long Franz Ferdinand may not be a particularly long album, but it is a masterpiece of funky, punky, suave cool from the first track to the last." The All Music Guide rated the album as four out of five stars and said: "Franz Ferdinand ends up being rewarding in different ways than the band's previous work was, but it's apparent that they're still one of the more exciting groups to come out of the garage-rock / post-punk revival." The album received an extremely positive 87 rating on MetaCritic[1] putting it among the top 100 albums rated by the site. The album is featured in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. Lyrics: I only watched her walk, but she saw it I only heard her talk, but she saw it I only touched her lips, but she saw it I only kissed her lips, but she saw it Gonna have to tell her tonight (x4) She only blinked her eyes, but I saw it She only swung her hair, but I saw it She only shook her hips, but I saw it She only licked her lips, but I saw it Gonna have to tell her tonight (x4) Hey, have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah I'll have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah I'll have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah I'll have to tell her, you tell her tonight I only watched her walk, but she saw it I only heard her talk, but she saw it I only touched her hips, but she saw it I only kissed her lips, but she saw it Gonna have to tell her tonight (x4) Hey, I'll have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah You have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah You have to tell her, you tell her tonight, oh yeah On Set: Alex Kapranos -- lead guitar, lead vocals Nick McCarthy -- rhythm guitar, vocals, keyboards Bob Hardy -- bass guitar Paul Thomson -- drums, percussion, backing vocals Andy Knowles (touring only) -- drums, keyboards, guitar
