New song from the new album Underclass Hero. Dear Father is about Deryck Whibley's father. He said it was a very hard song to write because he never met his father, who split with Deryck's mom before he was born.[1]He was brought up by his mother who had him when she was 17. He stated in an interview with Edge 102.1 that this is a song he has been trying to write for the last few albums but never finished it
