Eminem Feat Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie [RECOVERY] (Produced by Alex Da Kid)

Hip-Hop heavyweight Eminem teams up Rihanna on 'Love The Way You Lie', a track lifted from his eagerly anticipated 'Recovery' LP (due June 22nd), While Em excels on the guitar-driven mid-tempo, the same can not be said for runway RiRi, who attempts to do vocal acrobatics without posessing the necessary skills -- resulting in a pain-inducing hook. Still, on paper, this is a good look for both artists, which in itself could garner the track enough attention (from radio and iTunes) to ensure it be a hit. Take a listen below...

Just gonna stand there and hear me cry, But thats alright because I love the way you lie, I love the way you lie. [Eminem] I can't tell you what it really is, I can only tell you what it feels like, and right now its a steel knife in my windpipe I can't breath but I still fight while I can fight As long as the wrong feels right it's like I'm in flight High off of love, Drunk from my hate, Its like I'm huffing paint and I love it the more I suffer. I suffocate and right before I'm about to drown, She resuscitates me, She fucking hates me and I love it Wait! Where you going? I'm leaving you No you ain't, Come back We're running right back, Here we going again Its so insane cus' when its going it good, It's going great, I'm Superman with the wind in his back She's Louis Lane, but when its bad its awful I feel so ashamed, I snap. Who's that dude? I don't even know his name, I laid hands on her I never stoop so low again, I guess I don't know my own strength. [Chorus] Just gonna stand there and watch me burn, But thats alright because I like the way it hurts. Just gonna stand there and hear me cry, But thats alright because I love the way you lie, I love the way you lie. I love the way you lie. [Eminem] You ever love somebody so much that you could barely breathe when your with em'? And you meet and neither one, even know what hit em' You got the warm fuzzy feelin', yeah them chills used to get em' Now your gettin' fuckin' sick of lookin' at em' You swore you would never hit em', Never do nothin' to her now your in each others face, spewing venom in your words when you spit em' You both pull each others hair, scratch, clob, hit em', throw em' down, pin em' So lost in your moment when your in em' Its the rage thats the culprit, It chokes you both So they say you best go your separate ways, Guess that they don't know you, because today That was yesterday, Yesterday is over Its a different day, Sounds like broken records playin' over But you promised her, Next time you'll show her restraint You don't get another chance, Life is no Nintendo game But you lied again, now you get to watch her leave out the window, Guess thats why they call it window pane (pain) [Chorus] [Eminem] Now I know we said things, Did things That we didn't mean, and we fall back into the same pattern Same routine, but your temper is just as bad as mine is Your the same as me, but when he comes to love ya it's just as blinded, Baby, Please come back, It wasn't you, Baby, It was me Maybe our relationships isn't as crazy as it seems Maybe thats what happens when a Tornado meets a Volcano, All I know I love you too much to walk and Wait up! Come Inside, pick up the bags up the sidewalk, Don't you hear sincerity in my voice when I talk, Told you this was my fault, look me in the eyeball, Next time I'm pissed I'll lay my fist at the dry wall, Next time, there wont be no next time, I apologize even though I know its lies, I'm tired of the games, I just want her back, I know I'm a liar, If she ever tries to fuckin' leave again, I'm a tie her to the bed and set this house on fire, Just gonna... Franz Ferdinand - L. Wells

The video for "L. Wells" is in black and white, and features many venues in Glasgow, Scotland, including The Château, where Franz Ferdinand played many songs in their early days. It follows a woman going around Glasgow. However, this woman is not the Lynsey Wells about whom the song was written. Lynsey, originally from Maghull, Liverpool, was actually on holiday assisting in an orphanage and church in Africa when Franz Ferdinand decided to release the track. The video is inspired by Rita Tushingham in A Taste of Honey and, particularly, Julie Christie in Billy Liar. Lynsey is played by Saskia Pomeroy, a student at Glasgow School Of Art. None of the members of the band appear in the video. The video premiered on MTV's UK website on 24 March 2006.

Take Me Out was voted #1 in the national Australian music poll, the Triple J Hottest 100 (2004) and This Fire and The Dark of the Matinée were placed at #29 and #50, respectively. Reception Franz Ferdinand received universal critical acclaim. The NME said that the band was the latest in the line of art school rock bands featuring The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Duran Duran, Roxy Music, the Sex Pistols, Wire and Blur. It rated the album as 9 out of 10 and said: "This album is the latest and most intoxicating example of the wonderful pushing its way up between the ugly slabs of Pop Idol, nu metal and Britons aping American bands. What these blossoming bands have in common is the absolute conviction that rock 'n' roll is more than a career option." The BBC's review of the album said: "At only 38 minutes long Franz Ferdinand may not be a particularly long album, but it is a masterpiece of funky, punky, suave cool from the first track to the last." The All Music Guide rated the album as four out of five stars and said: "Franz Ferdinand ends up being rewarding in different ways than the band's previous work was, but it's apparent that they're still one of the more exciting groups to come out of the garage-rock / post-punk revival." The album received an extremely positive 87 rating on MetaCritic[1] putting it among the top 100 albums rated by the site. The album is featured in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. Lyrics: I only watched her walk, but she saw it I only heard her talk, but she saw it I only touched her lips, but she saw it I only kissed her lips, but she saw it Gonna have to tell her tonight (x4) She only blinked her eyes, but I saw it She only swung her hair, but I saw it She only shook her hips, but I saw it She only licked her lips, but I saw it Gonna have to tell her tonight (x4) Hey, have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah I'll have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah I'll have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah I'll have to tell her, you tell her tonight I only watched her walk, but she saw it I only heard her talk, but she saw it I only touched her hips, but she saw it I only kissed her lips, but she saw it Gonna have to tell her tonight (x4) Hey, I'll have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah You have to tell her, you tell her tonight, yeah You have to tell her, you tell her tonight, oh yeah On Set: Alex Kapranos -- lead guitar, lead vocals Nick McCarthy -- rhythm guitar, vocals, keyboards Bob Hardy -- bass guitar Paul Thomson -- drums, percussion, backing vocals Andy Knowles (touring only) -- drums, keyboards, guitar
