Bonnie Herschmiller used to sit on the couch, eat chocolate and cry. NEW LOOK ... Bonnie Herschmiller before and after losing 94 lbs. — Brendon Dlouhy, Sun Media "I was disgusted with myself," says the Edmonton mom, who stands just under 5-ft.-4. "I like to feel pretty. I'm a girly girl. When you're fat, you don't feel girlish at all." The New Brunswick native says she was already about 30 lb. overweight when she got pregnant in mid-2003. She then packed on another 60 lb. while "eating for two," a strategy that landed her in hospital during her third trimester with severe high blood pressure. After the birth of son Brett in February 2004, Herschmiller set her mind to taking off her excess cellulite and lowering her blood pressure. But she discovered it was easier said than done. "It wasn't coming off at all," she says. "I was exercising and everything, but it just wasn't coming off." Desperate to reclaim her girlish figure, she signed up at an Edmonton LA Weight Loss Center. Through a meal plan designed specifically for her, Herschmiller, 27, began eating six small nutritious meals a day. She also bought a Pilates DVD and began doing the exercises for between 30 and 60 minutes a day. Suddenly, Herschmiller became the incredible shrinking woman, losing 8 lb. in Week 1 and around 3.5 lb. each subsequent week. After six months, she was 94 lb. lighter, at a trim 114. Word spread about her success story - all the way to the U.S.-based head honchos of LA Weight Loss Centers, who made her a company poster girl. "It's not just a diet, it's a way of life," she says. "I love life now. There's a happiness inside me." LA - IT WORKS!!!

http://scoobysworkshop.com This is part three of my advanced pushup series. I will be doing 5 different types of advanced pushups and then I will combine them into one heck-of-a-chest workout. This is a hip-pushup. It is very intense because almost 100% of your bodyweight is on your chest and almost none is on your feet. In this pushup variant, your hands pushup from your hips and your arms brush along your sides as you go up. This is NOT a beginners exercise, it is for advanced bodybuilders only. If you have not been lifting for at least 6 months, dont even consider doing this because you will most likely get injured. There are several other unique exercises in my advanced pushup series that I will be putting up individually also. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Home Workout: Barbell Rows for Lats
http://scoobysworkshop.com I know I promised an advanced pushup video next, its halfway done - filming the video wiped me out with all the retakes so I couldnt finish it in one session. This video shows how to do barbell rows. Dont attempt these if you have lower back problems, stick to the pullups. While we are on the subject of pullups, these barbell rows are no substitute for pullups. When it comes to building lats, pullups are king! Keys to good form on the barbell row: 1) keep your back motionless 2) keep your abs flexed and tight to support your lower back 3) make sure to breathe, dont hold your breath 4) pull the bar to your hip, not your shoulders 5) use a slow, smooth motion - no jerking By the way, I know I screwed up twice and said "dumbbell row" where I meant "barbell row". I didnt bother re-filming becuase I figured it wouldnt cause any confusion. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Home shoulder workout: dumbbell press exercise
http://scoobysworkshop.com As with any dumbbell exercise, form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don't use too much weight, if you can't do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud "one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand" on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise.
