How To Workout Your Abs Without Buying Stupid Crap
In the words of Monty Python...and now for something completely different! I realize I haven't made a lot of videos lately, but I have another hobby that's taking away from my YouTube time. It involves some pretty serious training, so I've had stuff like this on the brain. I might post a video about it at some point. p.s. If you ever decide to do a video like this, make sure you get your camera angles figured out ahead of time. I did WAY too many takes.

Advanced Killer Home Chest Workout
Here is an advanced chest workout you can do at home with a cheap dumbbell set. Big gyms are nice but when you can get a killer workout at home without the overhead of getting to and from the gym. This workout is a complete 70 minute workout and consists of four supersets. superset 1: incline dumbbell press and flys superset 2: dumbbell press from the hip and thumbs up flys superset 3: incline flys and ultrawide pushups superset 4: pushups, flys, and dumbbell press We will do each superset three times and take 2-3 minutes rest between. Use a weight that lets you do 5-7 reps with good form. This is an intense workout and this is not meant to be used every week, just do this workout now and then to shake things up. By the way, I'm not a very original or creative person, I get all the ideas for my mock-infomercials from real-life ads - isnt that scary? I just assemble them in a way so that its clear how ridiculous the claims are. There are people, who shall remain nameless, who comment on my vids and claim results as ridiculous as PecFuel5000 - I'm sure these people are just acting as sales people for these scam companies. Remember, be a critical thinker. Never believe those anecdotal "amazing" results stories at the gym, in magazines, or on the internet. ... and remember, your Grandma was always right. If it SOUNDS too good to be true, then it IS. Dont be a sucker. Demand real evidence before buying any fitness product/supplement/program. If it is as great as they say then there will be a published ,peer-reviewed article in a respectable publication about a double blind study with a large sample size proving how great it is. Be wary of those "research studies" paid for by the company itself that "proves" how effective their product is. As with all dumbbell exercises, form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don't use too much weight, if you can't do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud "one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand" on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn't have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts. Home ab workout: crunch exercise for 6-pack abs
Don't let the TV ads convince you to buy some bulky contraption that will gather dust in your closet, crunches are safe and effective! This video clip shows how to do crunches with varying degrees of difficulty based on your ability. Remember that ab exercises alone will not give you abs! If you have the best abs in the world they will be completely invisible if you are overweight. Aerobic exercise and proper diet are even more important than ab exercises in getting that sought after 6-pack. Form is very important in crunches, many people do them incorrectly and end up working out their neck or hips more than their abs. Use slow movements and only use the abs. Concentrate on trying to raise your shoulders straight up towards the ceiling. Don't worry about how many reps you do but focus on using perfect form. No whipping the head around or flapping your arms! This is not a sit-up either, the hips are stationary. Also important is to minimize any tension in the neck, I do this by very lightly supporting my head with my hands or the weight plate The main reason to workout abs is because strong abs stabilize your lower back and shield you from injury but as a side benefit a 6-pack looks great! For more ab exercises: http://scoobysworkshop.com/abs.htm Nutrition is key to getting abs! I cover the nutrition basics on my website, if thats not detailed enough for you I have reviewed and recommended some excellent books: http://scoobysworkshop.com/goodfitnessbooks.htm Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. This is an advanced ab workout, if you are a beginning bodybuilder please see my website for some more appropriate ab workouts. Just a reminder, ab workouts do NOT remove fat. If you have a beer belly or love handles, you need to do cardio and have better nutrition - doing ab exercises will NOT help. Why do abs? Well, not only because a 6-pack looks really cool but strong abs are key for virtually every sport except tiddley winks. Ab strength is critical for hitting a baseball, whacking a golf ball, and especially in sports involving punching where most of the power in the punch comes from your core. Even if you dont do any sports, a strong core can protect your spine from injury. Now, people get really confused about ab workouts - do you do them once a week or every day? Do you do high reps or low reps? First lets clear the air, there is no "right" or "wrong" ab workout, it depends on your goals. The abs are like any other muscle, if you want them to get bigger and stronger, you work them out hard with heavy weight and give them plenty of rest between workouts to recover. If you want a small, flat waist like a marathon runner then you do a few minutes of abs everyday with no weight and high reps. If you want a really muscular core like a pro bodybuilder with big ab ridges and deep valleys, then workout with high weight and low rep and allow 5-7 days between workouts (morph zoom). Alles Klar? OK, so this particular ab workout is for people who want those big abs with deep valleys. Lets get started. This is going to be a killer 30min workout and were going to do this every 5 to 7 days. We are going to do a five supersets with about 3 minutes between. Each superset is going to consist of the following six exercises. •crunch at max weight (dead) •crunch with 50% weight (dead) •bicycles with 50% weight (dead) •crunch with 0 (dead) •bickcles with 0 (dead) •side plank 2x At the end of the superset, you are going to be DEAD. Now to prove I can take my own medicine, lets do a superset. rest 3min, repeat. Many people make the mistake of taking it at first to save energy for the sets at teh end, thats a mistake. You have to give each of the exercises 100% effort as if it were the only exercise you were going to do. Nutrition is key to losing fat and getting 6-pack abs! I cover nutrition on my website, if thats not detailed enough for you I have reviewed and recommended some excellent books: http://scoobysworkshop.com/goodfitnessbooks.htm
