4 the Cause (dt. Für die Sache) ist eine Band aus Oak Park nahe Chicago, bestehend aus den Geschwistern Jason und Shonna, sowie deren Cousin Bennie und Cousine Reshona. Die Band wurde bereits im März 1993 gegründet, allerdings unter dem Namen Young Warriors for Christ (dt. Junge Krieger für Christus). So traten die vier auf diversen Schulfesten auf und gewannen 1995 den Nachwuchswettbewerb Apollo Style Talent Contest, woraufhin sie einen Plattenvertrag bekommen. 1996 wurde die Platte Up On It, ein reines Gospelalbum, in der christlichen Musikszene der USA ein kleiner Achtungserfolg. Der Bandname wurde einige Male verändert. Zuerst zu Young Warriors for tha Crusade (dt. Junge Krieger für den Kreuzzug), dann zu Young Warriors 4 the Cause (dt. Junge Krieger für die Sache). Ende 1997 beschloss die Band diesen Namen auf 4 the Cause zu kürzen, wobei the Cause (die Sache) für ihren christlichen Glauben steht. Sie wurden unter das Management von Miles Bell und Robert Williams, die auch die damals erfolgreich Band The Moffatts managten, genommen. Schließlich kam der Durchbruch mit der Coverversion von Stand By Me (Original von Ben E. King), die 1998 veröffentlicht wurde. Das Lied war ein Nummer-1-Hit in der Schweiz und erreichte in Deutschland und Österreich jeweils Platz 2. Auf dem anschließend veröffentlichten gleichnamigen Album sind zwei Songs zu finden, die Eigenkompositionen der vier Bandmitglieder sind: Shine Again (J-Man) und Make Your Head Rock, der von der Band selbst handelt. Nach diesem Hit folgten noch weitere Singles, ebenfalls Coverversionen, die jedoch nicht an den Erfolg von Stand By Me anknüpfen konnten.

South Park vs Islam II (Viacom's Revenge)

If it doesn't come back in the next day or so (as Viacom said it would), we'll have to do it the old fashioned way). On Sunday 25th Apr 2010 I put up the video South Park vs Islam. Less than 24 hrs later the video had the best part of 100k hits, and Viacom issued a DMCA take down notice, even though the video only contained 10 seconds of South Park footage with no audio. When it became clear that Viacom had not only filed the DMCA notice, but that it was not an automated take down (else all the mirrors would have been taken down too), but someone at Viacom had actually made the decision to file this DMCA -copyright take down notice (the evasion of their lawyers I talked to spoke volumes!)..... to say that I was angry is an understatement. I had gone out of my way to do what South Park and Viacom did not have the back bone to do. To call bullshit on those who think that a few death threats will humble free speech in the West.... and then having invited these small time religious losers to do their worst, I got stabbed in the back by Viacom. Yeah pissed really doesn't cover it. Of all the cowardly self-centered parasites... it's difficult to know who is worse, those who want to try to limit free speech by a few death threats, or those who would sell out free speech simply as they think to do otherwise might damage their profit margins.
