Here is a teen workout appropriate for people ages 10-17. Contrary to myths you might have heard, working out IS good for teens and it wont stunt growth. This is a 45min upper body workout you will do 2-3 times a week. There are seven exercises to workout pecs, lats, triceps, biceps and abs. These exercises are self spotting which means you can do them safely alone. You will perform all these exercises in the order shown, then repeat the whole thing two more times so that you end up doing three sets of every exercise. chest: pushups, flys, dumbbell press lats: pullups, rows abs: crunches biceps: curls triceps: french press For each exercise we want to do between 8 and 15 reps. First, we are always going to lift slowly, 2s up and 2s down [demo with count]. If you can do more than 15 of these slow reps then its too easy for you and you need use more weight. If you cant do 8 slow reps then you are using too much weight and you are likely to get injured. Nutrition is key to being able to add muscle! I cover nutrition on my website, if thats not detailed enough for you I have reviewed and recommended some excellent books: http://scoobysworkshop.com/goodfitnessbooks.htm

http://scoobysworkshop.com This is part four of my advanced pushup series. I will be doing 5 different types of advanced pushups and then I will combine them into one heck-of-a-chest workout. This is a 'squeezer'. It combines an isometric fly and a pushup. This is NOT a beginners exercise, it is for advanced bodybuilders only. If you have not been lifting for at least 6 months, dont even consider doing this because you will most likely get injured. There are several other unique exercises in my advanced pushup series that I will be putting up individually also. Thanks for your patience, the advanced pushup video IS coming but it takes a long time to edit. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn't have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. A cheap dumbbell set from a garage sale or walmart is all it takes to get started with your home workouts. Vacation Workout for Beginners
http://scoobysworkshop.com Vacation is a great time to start working out! In this video I show you a fitness routine for the complete beginner that you can incorporate into your vacation, no equipment is required and it can actually make your vacation more enjoyable. The most important aspect of the workout is the cardio. Park the car and dont get back in it till its time to drive home. Rent a bike for transportation or walk everywhere, not only does it provide exercise but its a lot more enjoyable and lower stress than driving. The workout can be incorporated into your daily tourist activities and doesnt need any special time alloted. The workout is: biking or walking, 1-2hrs per day crunches for core/abs, 2 sets per day (should take less than 5 minutes) pushups for chest and triceps, 2 sets per day (should take less than 5 minutes) pullups for lats and biceps, 2 sets per day (should take less than 5 minutes) I spend a lot of time in the video showing various places to do pullups, this is because I get an incredible number of emails from people who claim that they have "nowhere' to do pullups. In the video I point out lots of places you can do this key exercise. The reason many people dont get started in bodybuilding is that it seems to complex and intimidating, thats why I recommend this simple program. Its an easy program and you start feeling better immediately, and your brain starts to associate exercising with feeling good. A recent study showed that as little as 10min of exercise a day can do wonders for you mind and body. Once you brain has made the connection between exercise and feeling good, motivation is no longer a problem and you will find yourself wanting to add new exercises. If you are overweight and can only do 3 knee pushups, dont be discouraged, its not the number of pushups you can do that is important but the effort. For those of you who are overweight, think of it this way, you are lifting far more weight in your pushups than your lighter counterparts so its natural that you cant do as many pushups. What is important is that you make progress each week, if you did 3 knee pushups last week, try to do 3 1/2 knee pushups this week. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn't have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money. Advanced Killer Home Chest Workout
Here is an advanced chest workout you can do at home with a cheap dumbbell set. Big gyms are nice but when you can get a killer workout at home without the overhead of getting to and from the gym. This workout is a complete 70 minute workout and consists of four supersets. superset 1: incline dumbbell press and flys superset 2: dumbbell press from the hip and thumbs up flys superset 3: incline flys and ultrawide pushups superset 4: pushups, flys, and dumbbell press We will do each superset three times and take 2-3 minutes rest between. Use a weight that lets you do 5-7 reps with good form. This is an intense workout and this is not meant to be used every week, just do this workout now and then to shake things up. By the way, I'm not a very original or creative person, I get all the ideas for my mock-infomercials from real-life ads - isnt that scary? I just assemble them in a way so that its clear how ridiculous the claims are. There are people, who shall remain nameless, who comment on my vids and claim results as ridiculous as PecFuel5000 - I'm sure these people are just acting as sales people for these scam companies. Remember, be a critical thinker. Never believe those anecdotal "amazing" results stories at the gym, in magazines, or on the internet. ... and remember, your Grandma was always right. If it SOUNDS too good to be true, then it IS. Dont be a sucker. Demand real evidence before buying any fitness product/supplement/program. If it is as great as they say then there will be a published ,peer-reviewed article in a respectable publication about a double blind study with a large sample size proving how great it is. Be wary of those "research studies" paid for by the company itself that "proves" how effective their product is. As with all dumbbell exercises, form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don't use too much weight, if you can't do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud "one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand" on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Bodybuilding doesn't have to be expensive or take a lot of time, gyms are great but home workouts can save you time and money.
